Not before time, the UK has opened up the UK Statute Law Database (SLD) – the official revised edition of the primary legislation of the United Kingdom – for free, public use. This will be really useful: I’ve always hated trying to find UK legislation, and thought they really needed a proper AustLII. Hat tip: Boing Boing.

Well, as one who has painfully researched through university libraries and online databases, I’ll take databases all day long.
At least I can go get a cup of coffee without having to worry about someone taking my seat!

Is there a web site where unreported UK decisions can be accessed like our Austlii or the various state Courts websites?

A. Dubya: there is an equivalent site, BAILII, although its reach is not quite what we have here in Australia.
