Following a previous posting on downloadable TV episodes, the New York Times is reporting that NBC is getting in on the act of selling TV Shows for viewing on iPods.
This is happening a lot quicker than I thought it would. I wonder what their download stats will be – and how soon revenue from direct downloads will rival traditional licensing revenue to TV stations. And then, how long it will take for them to insert advertising into the downloads. And then, to what extent this will drive off those who download episodes because they want ad-free viewing, rather than instant gratification…
